On February 1, we open for submissions for the next edition of the BUSTER Film Festival, which will run from September 21 to October 6, 2024.
Every year we put together a program of over 100 films, games and TV series from around the world. The festival is aimed at the target group of 2-16 year olds + their parents, grandparents, teachers and educators. The deadline for submissions to the festival is April 1, 2024. The goal is to show quality film and media content for children and young people and to curate this wisely in a program of reflection and activity for kindergartens, schools and families.
BUSTER AWARD
From the program of 100+ films, BUSTER’s program editorial team selects 8 films for the competition for the best film for children and young people aged 7+. The eight films are judged by BUSTER’s children’s jury, which consists of 4-8 children and young people from BUSTER’s children’s panels in the age group 9-16 years. In addition, in collaboration with Norden i skolen, we award prizes for Best Nordic Feature Film and Best Nordic Short Film.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
It costs DKK 300 to submit a feature film.
It costs DKK 150 to submit a short film.
REQUIREMENTS & FORMATS
We accept feature films, short films, TV series, documentaries, documentary series, animated films and games from all over the world We do not accept submissions of films that have premiered before 2023 The target audience for the submitted films must be children and young people aged 2-16 years.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT:
A VOD screener link for the movie
A short description of the movie, TV show, game and a description of the target audience.
As many high-resolution stills from the movie as possible
An English time-coded dialog list if the film is targeted at our youngest audience (2-12 years).

If your film is selected for BUSTER, we require unencrypted DCPs. BUSTER’s print coordinator will provide you with further information on formats and uploads.
