Industry Session: Den fantastiske teenagehjerne

This year’s free Industry Session focuses on the teenage brain, how it works and how top filmmakers understand and interact with teenage audiences.
Join psychologist Per Frederiksen, author of ‘The Amazing Teenage Brain’, Adrian Hosseinpour from GIGIS and director Jonas Risvig for a conversation that will provide new insights into working with and creating content for teenagers.

The GIGIS collective has produced some of the most sensational work for teen audiences in Denmark in recent years with a fresh perspective that has resonated with a diverse group of viewers. 2020’s “Blockhavn” ran in cinemas across the country for 6 months and sold close to 100,000 tickets, which was a huge success considering the modest budget.

Jonas Risvig won a Zulu Award for Original TV Programme of the Year in 2016 with ‘Da Danmark Blev Suspekt’ about the rap group Suspekt, and he has continued to make music videos, TV series like ‘Salsa’ and ‘Centrum’ and presents his first feature film ‘Kontra’ in cinemas across Denmark this autumn.

How do these creators work with a specific audience in mind while staying true to their own ideas as artists? And how can their work and that of teenage psychologist Per inform each other and help create works that grab and speak to teenagers?
