Samson and Sally

This film / event belongs to our archive
and was part of festival 2012.

Dir.: Jannik Hastrup | In all 60 min

Whaling and oil spills are rare topics in children's films, but Jannik Hastrup demonstrates in 'Samson and Sally' that political topics also work here. The film is loosely based on Bent Haller's famous children's book about the whale pups Samson and Sally, who are constantly fleeing from ferocious whaling ships. Samson will do everything to save his flock, but what can you do when you are small and scared? Samson has always been fascinated by the legend of the great whale Moby Dick, so he embarks on a long and perilous journey in the hope of finding an answer from his great hero. Both children and young souls will be captivated by this classic piece of Danish children's entertainment.

No further screenings planned.
